Hi,
I have the same problem too and it don´t let me start the server. After a while the console shows the message:
2012-04-24 18:32:51,413 INFO [org.nuxeo.launcher.gui.NuxeoLauncherGUI] Missing translation for mainbutton.stop.tooltip 2012-04-24 18:32:52,802 ERROR [org.nuxeo.launcher.NuxeoLauncher] Starting process is taking too long - giving up.

To the original poster: please describe more the problem, or the question will be closed for insufficient information.
Note that the "Missing translation for" messages will be gone in the next Nuxeo version. So is your problem simply the fact that Nuxeo stops automatically just after you started it?
