Is there away to have a local copy of a part of a repository that is accessible while offline?

The usage is the following:

• At some point, the “client” connects to the Nuxeo server and copy a part of the repository locally
• The client then goes offline (no internet connection, like laptop) but can still browse local copy (either with file explorer or other client), but cannot modify content
• The next time the client goes online, can fetch updates and apply them locally
