Nuxeo Connect - why does it hang when I click 'Continue'?

I have a Windows 8 laptop running Virtual Box. I installed Nuxeo 5.6 into Virtual Box.

When I enter the URL to invoke the Nuxeo Configuration Wizard, I am able to type in the information on the Welcome, Proxy, Email tabs without problems.

After I enter the information on the Connect tab, I get a screen that says “Your pre-registration has been done!“. But when I click the 'Continue' button, nothing happens.

I checked the /var/log/nuxeo/server.log and it is empty. stderr.log and nuxeo-error.log are also empty.

Why is it hanging after my pre-registration is completed?
