Nuxeo Drive - Best Practices for Mass Deployment

We are about to deploy Nuxeo Drive to our organization. I want the user experience to be as easy as can be when they first login. We use Ivanti EPM for deployments. Usually I deploy using the system account, but given that Nuxeo installs in the users profile, I don't think this will work. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I'm hoping to find other admins who use Ivanti and deployed Nuxeo Drive.

According to, you can specify the installation path like:

nuxeo-drive.exe /VERYSILENT /TARGETDRIVEFOLDER="%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Nuxeo Drive" /TARGETURL="http://localhost:8080/nuxeo" /TARGETUSERNAME="foo"

Issue we face is Drive installing under the user and not a system wide. To deploy the user must be logged in. If it was a system wide app we could deploy even if the user is not logged in

System-wide deployment was the case initially but we switched to user-wide ones to fix several issues with rights (including auto-update, installations, etc.). We do not provide such installer anymore since a while. I do not know Ivanti EPM, but it should be possible to execute a script when a user login to install Drive.

Sorry Bryce, I forgot that we have a special install for system-wide installations: See files |nuxeo-drive-VERSION-admin.exe`. Such installers are available for all versions (alpha, beta and releases). But keep in mind that there will be issues with the auto-update and maybe others we are not aware of: that setup is not officially supported by Nuxeo, it is a best effort only.
