Nuxeo CMF Configuration & Customization _ Losing changes when restarting the server

Hi,

When I tried to start the Nuxeo CMF server after setting “nuxeo.force.generation=false” in “nuxeo.conf” file, it shows like you should either set it to “true” or “once” or otherwise set “nuxeo.wizard.done=true”. If we set it to true, the changes will be lost. What will happen if we set it to “once” or otherwise by setting “nuxeo.wizard.done=true”. I want to make the changes permanent to the Nuxeo CMF interface. Please help to get a solution to this.

Thanks & Regards, Rajesh

Have you considered using Nuxeo Studio? It will help you customize your application without having to develop a new bundle.

If you want to create a new bundle, I advise you to take a look at our cookbook or at Nuxeo IDE.

Hi Rajesh,

the option 'nuxeo.force.generation=false' won't stop nuxeo.war generation. If you want to persist changes on login.jsp or any files in nuxeo.war, you'll need to create a new bundle.

Hello,

What changes do you loose? I guess you are not properly customizing Nuxeo.
If you want to overwrite some files you have to create a custom template and/or deploy a custom bundle.
nuxeo.wizard.done=once means the configuration will be generated once, then the flag will automatically be set to false.

Hi,

How to create a custom template and/or deploy a custom bundle? I need to customize the Nuxeo CMF interface from the login page login.jsp in the “D:\Nuxeo_CMF_Installation\nxserver\nuxeo.war” (custom folder) folder to the inner pages. I couldn't find the inner pages of the interface inside the installation folder. How is it possible?? Kindly tell me from the very basic level so that I could better understand these things.

Thanks & Regards, Rajesh
